Method: ChangeStoreTextCodeMsg

Method Type: Post

This method will be called by your application to either add content to a new responder keyword or edit the content of an established responder keyword (What we sometimes call, “TextCodes”). You will not be able to edit the content of an opt-in keyword for compliance reasons. If you wish to manage your own opt-in or responder keyword responses, you can do by contacting support.

For responder keywords, the CRM Text SMS API platform gives you the flexibility to create two different content options for mobile subscribers based on their opt-in status. For example, if someone texts one of your store marketing keywords you may want to hook them to opt-in by replying with your opt-in keyword in the content. For example, “Here’s your coupon from CRM Text SMS API. Reply CRM to opt-in.” But there is no need to ask for the opt-in if your Customer is already opted-in. (Graphic bubble here maybe to illustrate this)

  Restrictions

  • A maximum of 1600 characters. But we recommend 160 or less.
  • MMS is not supported in responder keyword content automated by the CRM Text SMS API. Howevever, the developer can automate this themselves if you make the request to support to turn off the automation.
  • You can only edit the content of a responder keyword with this method. If you wish to use custom compliant responses for opt-in keywords, contact support

  Suggestions

  • Your content and offer are important. The mobile subscriber is taking time to text you. Give them something good and you’ll be rewarded with high response rates.
