Error Codes & Meaning

The CRM Text SMS API uses standard HTTP error codes. Among the ones you might see while working with the API are below. Keep in mind that to protect some endpoints, we don't always tell you what you did wrong. But if you read the documentation and check your work closely, you can solve most issues. Also below you will find a list of the errors specifically pertaining to specific API Calls and actiona considerations.

Error Code Meaning Action Consideration
400 Keyword In Use The Keyword is already in use and you must select a new one.
400 Keyword Cannot Be Numeric Keyword consists of only numbers. Please select an alpha-numeric keyword between 4-19 characters.
400 Keyword Cannot Be More Than 19 Characters long. Keyword is to long. Please select an alpha-numeric keyword between 4-19 characters.
400 No Data Available There is no data to return for this method.
400 Password is Invalid Select a password that does not include the characters $ ‘ ‘ / \ : ;&
400 Invalid Phone Number Phone number is not 10 digits. Please provide a 10 digit mobile phone number.
400 Store Name In Use The Store Name is already in use and you must select a different one.
400 Customer Already Opted-In The Customer is already opted-in and no further opt-in action is required.
400 Customer is Opted-Out Messages cannot be delivered to the mobile subscriber because they have opted-out.
400 Customer Does Not Exist The Customer you are messaging does not exist in the database. Try opting them in.
